K-12 national norms for the IXL Real-time Diagnostic
IXL’s Real-time Diagnostic is now nationally normed for K-12 math and ELA!
IXL’s Real-Time Diagnostic has long been established through validity research to be a precise indicator of student achievement and a strong predictor of performance on standardized assessments. With the addition of national norms for grades 9-12, IXL’s Real Time-Diagnostic now has complete national norms for elementary through high school.
Through this normative data, IXL gives administrators broader context for students’ progress and achievement against their peers across the US. See the full guide to K-12 national norms.

Feature updates
Redesigned Admin View of the Teacher Dashboard
Administrators can now view the redesigned teacher dashboard from Teacher Analytics!
This means that administrators can now see what each teacher sees on their dashboard, including:
- Any pinned skill plans
- Recent Group Jams and the Group Jam summaries for each
- Any active or recent Leaderboards and Quizzes
- Overall diagnostic levels for each of the teacher’s students
- Recently practiced skills and largest trouble spots for that teacher’s students
Administrators can click on each item on the teacher’s dashboard to dive deeper. This update applies to admins on all English editions.

“Completed skills” list on the student dashboard
Now it’s easier than ever for students to see which skills they still need to work on!
On the student dashboard, where students can see skills suggested by their teacher or parent, we’ve created a new “completed skills” list. This list automatically filters out all of the skills they’ve already completed, so they can easily see the skills they should focus on next!
Students can toggle their goal for completion based on whether they’re working towards proficiency (a SmartScore of 80) or mastery (a SmartScore of 100), and the list will filter accordingly. This update is available on all English web editions of IXL.

Download action plans from administrator diagnostic reports
School-level administrators can more easily access the individual students’ diagnostic data they are looking for! Student action plans can now be downloaded from the following reports:
To download an action plan, administrators can hover over a student’s score in the “Overall” column of the data table and click the blue report icon.
